and I actually remembered to use my sunscreen...

Now that I have more or less settles into a post-birthday life I wanted to tell you about my birthday. Or more specifically what I did.
When I told you that Mr. M whisked me away I mean he whisked me here:

Bar Harbor, Maine.

It looks even better in real life.

We strolled on the strolling path that has been there on the ocean since the late 1800's and we shopped a little at all the quaint stores on main street.  We played two rounds of "adventure golf" at pirates cove, despite my loosing quite badly in the long run, I made a hole in one. First time ever for me. I lack coordination on the golf course.
This is the area President Obama and his family visited last weekend. It had made the front page of the local paper that the first family had enjoyed ice cream at Mt. Desert Isle ice cream. Not a slow news day, just stating a fact.  So we checked it out.

Amazing ice cream! If you make it to Bar Harbor check it out. I ended up with the salt caramel flavor. With a scoop of hot fudge on top. It was my birthday.

Do you recall my obsession with cupcakes? Matt tracked down a bakery in Bar Harbor that sources local ingredients and came up with these:

Vanilla cupcakes with lemon buttercream frosting.
Happy Birthday to me!

on a totally different note, your profile is now inaccurate... I think you definitely get to claim mid-20s now.
